I had just started to  take my abstract art seriously while attempting to survive my sophomore year of college at the same time. A question occurred to me — what would my problems and my stresses look like if I tried to give them an abstract form? So I concentrated on the problems of my life at the time and I started drawing lines. The end result looked like a sort of muscle-bound alien with a bad attitude. This concept of giving my problems a visual form is something that I would return to every so often in the future.

Two weeks ago I started work at a standardized testing company as a test grader. I can’t talk about it much as things are highly confidential – I may or may not have even seen security robots prowling the halls near closing time.
